Religion vs Relationship

People who have religion are absent from relationship with God, because they are occupied with their own religion — following their will instead of God’s will

But those who have relationship with God do not need empty religion, because they already walk with Him.

God Created Man for Relationship, Not Religion.

From the very beginning, God’s design for humanity was not religion, but relationship. In Genesis, we read that

“the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” 

-Genesis 2:7

God Himself breathed life into Adam. This was intimate and personal. Man was created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), set apart from all creation to know Him, to walk with Him, and to reflect His glory.

In the Garden, Adam did not need rituals to reach God. He had direct fellowship. Genesis 3:8 describes God

“Walking in the garden in the cool of the day.”

This shows His desire to be present with man, to share communion and fellowship.

Religion came later, as a result of sin, when humanity began to create systems, rules, and traditions to try to bridge the distance between themselves and God. But God’s original design was never a ritual — it was relationship.

This is why Yeshua came: to restore what was lost in Eden. Through Him, we are reconciled to God, not by religion but by grace, and once again we are invited to walk with Him in fellowship.

Empty Religion vs. Living Relationship

Understand this, dear reader: God never gave us empty religion, nor is He pleased with humanity’s blindness in clinging to hollow rituals that profit them nothing.

Understand this,

Whatever is of man cannot save you. Only God saves, because,

"Salvation belongs to The Lord."

-Psalm3:8

"Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation. He is my defense, I shall not be greatly moved."

-Psalm 62:1–2

Religion Tries to Reach God — Relationship Begins With God Reaching Us

Religion is humanity’s attempt to climb up to God through rituals, traditions, and works.

Relationship is God Himself coming down to us in Yeshua The Messiah.

"We love Him because He first loved us."

-1 John 4:19

“No one can come to Me unless The Father who sent Me draws him.” 

-John 6:44

➡️ True relationship is God-initiated, not man-manufactured.

Salvation Belongs Only to the Lord

God makes it unmistakably clear:

"I, even I, am The LORD, and besides Me there is no savior"

-Isaiah 43:11

Religion cannot save you. Rituals cannot save you. Human effort cannot save you.

Only the Lord Himself saves. Salvation is His work, not ours, and it comes through

relationship with Him in Yeshua The Messiah.

Whoever desires to come and know the truth of God in Yeshua, that very desire is evidence of the Father’s drawing. When God sees this willingness, He acts upon it, opening the heart and leading that person to His Son, The Savior of The World, Yeshua The Messiah.

Remember This

A true relationship with God the Father is initiated by Him, founded on faith, made possible through Yeshua the Son, lived out in obedience and love, nurtured in daily fellowship through the Holy Spirit, and transforms us to bear fruit for His glory.

Come home to the living relationship you were created for. Come back to the truth of God. Repent of your sins and accept Yeshua the Messiah as your Lord and Savior, and you will become a new creation in Him.

"Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation."
